Darrell Kotton
Professor of Medicine & Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine (CReM) Boston University and Boston Medical Center
Dr. Darrell Kotton is Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine at Boston University and Boston Medical Center, where he leads pioneering research in lung injury, repair, and stem cell biology. A practicing pulmonologist and the David C. Seldin Professor of Medicine and Pathology, his NIH-funded lab focuses on advancing regenerative approaches for chronic lung diseases, including IPF. A recipient of the ATS Recognition Award for Scientific Accomplishments, Dr. Kotton is renowned for his translational research, commitment to open science, and mentorship in pulmonary and regenerative medicine.
Seminars
- Examining key cell types involved in fibrosis progression and their role in repair and regeneration
- Identifying where in the disease process intervention could drive meaningful tissue repair and prevent irreversible damage
- Exploring emerging strategies in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and molecular targets to restore lung function
