Dr. Mary E. Strek is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago and Director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program. A board-certified pulmonologist, she specializes in complex lung diseases, including interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, and pulmonary complications of connective tissue disorders. Dr. Strek leads a clinical research program that investigates phenotypic characteristics, treatment and outcomes for those with chronic lung disease. She has received numerous honors, including the CHEST Distinguished Educator Award, selection as a Fellow of the American Thoracic Society and served as an associate editor of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
